How to get to Villa Catignano
Southbound directions
If coming north of Siena (Florence, Bologna, Milano, Genova, etc.)
• Merge onto highway A1 (if coming from Florence)
• Take exit Firenze-Impruneta (formerly, Firenze-Certosa)
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Raccordo Autostradale Siena-Firenze, and drive for about 50 km
• Take exit Siena Nord toward Viadotto Montarioso
• Follow directions leading to the train station (Stazione Ferroviaria) and Roma / Arezzo
• Past the train station, follow directions to Rome A1 for about 1 km, then take Strada Chiantigiana/SS408
• Once you get to Ponte a Bozzone, turn left towards Pievasciata and drive for about 3 kms until you reach Catignano.
Northbound directions
If coming south of Siena (Rome, Civitavecchia, Naples, Salerno/Amalfi coast, etc.)
• Follow signs for Rome (maybe Naples, if coming from southern cities such as Reggio Calabria, Bari, etc)
• Merge onto highway A1 following signs for A1 Roma/Caserta Nord
• Take exit Valdichiana toward Bettolle/Sinalunga
• Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Siena/Perugia/Grosseto and merge onto SS327
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the Raccordo Autostradale Bettolle-Perugia ramp to Siena/Sinalunga
• Merge onto Raccordo Autostradale Bettolle-Perugia
• Continue onto Raccordo Siena-Bettolle
• Continue onto SS73
• Take exit Casetta-Monteaperti toward Casetta, then again left onto SP111a
• After 2 km, turn left onto Strada Comunale delle Quattro Torri
• Continue onto Strada di Pieve al Bozzone, and after about 1 km, slight right onto Strada di Presciano
• Continue onto Strada di Monte Chiaro
• Slight right to stay on Strada di Monte Chiaro
• Turn left onto SS408, then right onto Via del Campo
• Continue onto Strada Comunale di Catignano
• Turn right to stay on Strada Comunale di Catignano and drive for about 1 km until you reach Catignano.
